bio

Hey friend… life is a wild animal.

Moonlight Bloom is a trio of kindred souls that have riled up the (Denver/CO) psych rock scene with joyful abandon since 2016.

We strive to create an inviting, unpredictable and heavy visceral experience through our recorded music and live performance, a space that brings us both playground joy and deep fulfillment.

Our latest LP “Lazarus” was released in June 2023 and embraces heavy feels, long form composition and utter bedlam. It is the product of change, of new and old relationships, of new and old methods melding to form fresh mischief… ultimately made of living material that will surely evolve with our live experience.

No matter how you’re tuning in, we will be there, present and ready to huck it into the unknown with you.

An enjoyably varied, textural psychedelic rock sound is on display throughout, from more hypnotic build-ups like ‘Cloud Temple’ and ‘Old Oak’ to raucously up-front gems like ‘Firestorm’ and ‘Release.'” – Obscure Sound

“Lost Lake’s dark, woodsy aesthetic complemented the mystical improvisational sound of Moonlight Bloom. Their most recent EP, Walking Trees, was released in 2017 and features both long musical soliloquies and brief interludes. This energetic irregularity extends into their live performances, allowing the audience to move through each note with anticipation alongside the band itself.” – CU Sentry

“There are definitely nods to some greats like Jimi Hendrix and Grateful Dead in this four-track EP, but there’s also a hint of The Lumineers here, especially in the vocals.” – bolderbeat

“Moonlight Bloom create music, which, even when fully recorded has an extemporised feel as filaments of jazz, soul-funk, psychedelia and rock cast their soft light through the room in retro rainbows of free-form compositions.” – Emerging Indie Bands
